The Skin-Gear System is the three-stage framework behind how the products work together: Prepare, Perform, Recover. Rather than treating each product as a standalone item, the system is designed to support skin care before, during and after activity.

Take a runner heading out for a long training run. Before they leave, they apply Anti-Chafe Gel to inner thighs, underarms and chest, and work some Blister Stop Wool around friction-prone areas of the feet. Out on the trail, they top up Anti-Chafe Gel where rubbing starts to build.

Back home, Hot Rub is massaged into tired-feeling calves and quads for lasting warmth and comfort, while Rescue Gel helps condition dry, rubbed or uncomfortable-feeling skin.

That's It mānuka is grown on a farm in South Taranaki, New Zealand, where the regional growing conditions contribute to the oil’s distinctive botanical composition, including naturally occurring compounds called triketones.

No. All products are made with natural oils and waxes. If applied generously, they may leave a temporary mark on fabric, but it will wash out in a standard warm wash with regular detergent.

Mānuka oil is extracted from the leaves and small branches of the native New Zealand mānuka plant (Leptospermum scoparium).

Its distinctive botanical composition includes naturally occurring triketones, which vary in concentration depending on where the plant grows.

That’s It uses mānuka oil in selected skin care formulations designed to condition skin, help manage friction and maintain everyday comfort outdoors.

Both come from the Mānuka plant, but they’re produced differently. Mānuka honey is made by bees from the plant’s nectar, while Mānuka oil is extracted directly from the leaves and small branches of the Mānuka plant.

The oil has a very different composition and is naturally rich in triketones, particularly in high-triketone regional varieties such as those grown in South Taranaki. When used appropriately in skin care formulations, Mānuka oil is lightweight and well suited to everyday topical use. 

Mānuka Oil contains a concentrated profile of naturally occurring triketones that are not present in Mānuka honey at the same levels, giving the oil its distinctive character in skin care formulations.

Triketones are a distinctive group of naturally occurring organic compounds found in Mānuka Oil, including flavesone, leptospermone and iso-leptospermone. Together, they contribute to the unique chemical profile that sets high-triketone Mānuka Oil apart.

Their concentration varies significantly by growing region, and South Taranaki Mānuka is particularly rich in them. It is one of the reasons we grow and distil our own Mānuka there, giving That’s It a traceable source of high-triketone oil for our skin care formulations.

Tea tree oil is widely used in skin care but can feel drying or harsh on some skin types. Mānuka oil has a different natural composition and a more balanced, skin-friendly feel, making it well suited to regular use in everyday skin care.

It is naturally rich in triketones and other botanical compounds that give Mānuka oil its distinctive profile and set it apart from tea tree oil.

That’s It mānuka is grown in South Taranaki, New Zealand, where we have a close connection to the land and the botanical ingredients we use.

That’s It Hot Rub contains capsaicin and menthol, so it is not suitable for children. For adults using Hot Rub for the first time, we recommend patch testing a small area of skin before broader use. Apply externally only and avoid contact with the eyes, face, broken skin and other sensitive areas. Wash hands thoroughly after application and keep the product out of reach of children.

Anti-Chafe Gel contains lanolin and may not be suitable for people with a known sensitivity to wool alcohols.
